However the bathroom could use some updating.

The rooms offer charming décor with unique themes. The outdoor grounds are beautifully maintained.
Navigating the two flights of stairs to our room with an arthritic knee was a challenge. Requesting a lower floor might have been wiser. The restaurant closure on Monday evenings, even on a bank holiday, was disappointing as it limited dining options. Prices for food and drink were on the high side, potentially discouraging longer stays or return visits, especially in a small town.

The room was beautifully decorated and equipped with modern amenities. The restaurant served delicious meals, particularly the 8-course tasting menu with a curated wine flight that perfectly complemented each dish. The staff were attentive and helpful throughout my stay.
The room was not very soundproof due to its age.

Room decor added charm while noise from the car park disrupted our sleep.

Wow, what a charming boutique! My room had good decor and the gardens were fine. Georgia, the lovely lady at check-in, shared such fascinating history.
The prices for dinner made me consider a takeaway instead! And where's a lady supposed to wash her hands with only two unisex toilets?

The warmth and friendliness of the staff made a lasting impression, instantly creating a sense of home. The room surpassed our expectations with really good bedding and the treat selection. Breakfast was a highlight, particularly the freshly cooked poached eggs and the good toasted bread. I wished for an even broader selection of breakfast items, and the overall dining experience felt lackluster during peak hours. More lounge options would have enhanced the relaxing atmosphere.

We had such a wonderful time staying in the deluxe suite, complete with a stunning view and comfy furnishings. Enjoying a full body massage and chilling on the sun terrace made our stay extremely relaxing. The wait time for breakfast service could use some improvement, but overall it was an amazing getaway! 🌞
